One of the original founders of Dynix Corporation, Jim Wilson joined Innovate Interfaces as its new Director of Strategic Accounts. This move seems noteworthy given Wilson's longstanding association with SirsiDynix and its antecedent companies. It is extremely rare for a founder of one an automation company to shift allegiances to one of a different corporate lineage.
Jim Wilson helped found Dynix Corporation in 1983 along with Paul Sybrowsky, Keith Wilson, and Ralph Egan. The two cofounders named Wilson are unrelated. Jim Wilson's initial role at the company was as its Vice President for Sales and Marketing, and he held various positions until he left in 2001. Wilson came out of retirement in May 2003 to rejoin Dynix as a Senior Library Advisor and remained with the company through its acquisition by Sirsi Corporation, which became SirsiDynix. Wilson once again entered retirement in October of 2013.
Wilson will work with some of Innovative's key customers, especially consortia and large library systems, to apply his extensive expertise to their use of its products. Wilson stated that he is excited to continue to work with libraries and to help them fully utilize the capabilities of the products that they have and to help them navigate the future as technology evolves and patrons expect to access information though new kinds of devices.
