EBSCO Changes Regional Office Name in Asia to better communicate broad representation of services and support

Abstract: EBSCO Information Services has changed the name of one of its regional offices in Asia to the Greater China and Southeast Asia Central office. Formerly known as the Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao regional office, the new name better represents the vast territory of customers and business partners that it serves.


BIRMINGHAM, Ala., USA Feb. 19, 2009 EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) has changed the name of one of its regional offices in Asia to the Greater China and Southeast Asia Central office. Formerly known as the Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao regional office, the new name better represents the vast territory of customers and business partners that it serves.

General manager of EBSCO's Greater China and Southeast Asia Central regional office, Rachel Yee-Chatham, commented on the main reasons for the name change. She explained, "At EBSCO, we are continuously working to identify areas where we can enhance our services to our worldwide customers and partners. Centralizing the Greater China and Southeast Asia Central office creates a synergy that ensures EBSCO's quality of service is industry-leading.
