Raindance names Jack Blount as Chief Operating Officer

Abstract: Raindance Communications, formerly Evoke Communications, a leading provider of virtual meeting services, announced that Jack Blount has been named chief operating officer. Blount, who has over 25 years of successful management experience, will oversee Raindance's day-to-day operations including customer relationships, sales and marketing efforts, and will assist senior management in leading the company's strategic direction.


Louisville, CO, June 11, 2001. Raindance Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: RNDC), formerly Evoke Communications, a leading provider of virtual meeting services, today announced that Jack Blount has been named chief operating officer. Blount, who has over 25 years of successful management experience, will oversee Raindance's day-to-day operations including customer relationships, sales and marketing efforts, and will assist senior management in leading the company's strategic direction.

Blount brings to Raindance experience in sales and marketing strategy, new product development and launch and large-scale budget implementation. Prior to joining Raindance, Blount served as chairman, president and chief executive officer of U.S. Data Authority, Inc, a national network infrastructure company. In this position, he was responsible for growing company sales by more than 300%.

Previously, Blount held a variety of senior management positions, including CEO, CTO and executive vice-president, with TeleComputing Inc., J.D. Edwards, MobileWare Corporation and Novell. Blount has also founded several companies including JCB Development, Inc., a software consulting company, and Picus Software, Inc., which created a line of Internet filtering software products.
