ByWater Solutions, an open source community supporter and official Koha support company is proud to welcome Thatcher Rea as their Lead Support Specialist. Thatcher will be overseeing the support department for ByWater Solutions and will be in charge of the delegation and escalation of customer support issues.
Thatcher has been working in IT for public, private, and educational entities over the last 15 years, serving the library community since 2007. He helped bring Basehor Community Library's new facility online, serving its patrons with the first RFID-based checkout system for a public library in the state. He has most recently assisted the 120 member libraries of the Northeast Kansas Library System with their IT and Koha Support needs. Thatcher's focus on providing efficient and timely technical support is at the heart of his mission with ByWater Solutions. An avid science fiction reader, Thatcher enjoys cooking and playing the ukulele in his spare time.
Thatcher commented on his recent decision to join the ByWater Solutions team;
