Relais International is pleased to announce that the Osgoode Hall Law School Library (Toronto, Ontario) has selected the Relais ILL Hosted Service.
The Hosted Service will include the Relais Access web-based pages that allow library users to create and monitor their own ILL requests. Staff can use a new and enhanced web-based staff interface and the Relais windows staff client to process ILL requests. The system includes the fully integrated Relais Scanning Module for seamless electronic delivery of items to patrons and to other libraries.
Louis Mirando, Chief Law Librarian, says "We've always had a busy ILL department; but with the introduction of a new document delivery service for our faculty and expanding international programs with students and partners around the world, Relais offered a solution that addressed all our needs, enhancing the quality of our services while simplifying processes for both patrons and staff."
Clare MacKeigan, COO of Relais International, says "We are very happy to welcome the staff of the Osgoode Hall Law School Library to the growing family of Relais customers in Canada." The implementation is expected to be completed by August 2011. The library uses the Symphony integrated library system.
With more than 500,000 volumes, the Law Library of Osgoode Hall Law School has the largest collection of any law library in the British Commonwealth. It includes the largest collection of historical (pre-1900) Canadian legal texts and primary sources anywhere and a significant collection of early English and American law books. These outstanding print collections, of international calibre, are supplemented by a growing range of online and digital resources, including LexisNexis, Quicklaw and Westlaw Canada, to which all members of the Osgoode community have access. There are many country and topic-specific tools which provide researchers with in-depth access to the laws of Australia, India, the Caribbean, international commercial arbitration and United Nations treaties and documents.
