September 21, 2010 -- Book Systems, Inc. is proud to announce that Madison City Schools is now using Booktracks to distribute and collect textbooks. Madison City Schools is composed of twelve buildings: one high school, two middle schools, seven elementary schools, one academy, and a central office. Booktracks was needed to replace the previous paper-and-pencil method of tracking textbooks.
Textbook Coordinator Bob Lipinski shared the below comment with local news reporters:
"We have actually cut, probably 250 thousand dollars out of the budget, out of textbooks doing so. It's actually more if you compound that over a few years."
Superintendent Dr. Fowler added, "We know who lost a textbook, how much that textbook cost, and now we're expecting to receive payment back for those."
Booktracks Textbook Management encourages accountability by all persons dealing with the textbooks.
