July 6, 2010 Relais International is pleased to announce that the National Library of Australia is renewing their contract with Relais International to October 2015. The National Library of Australia was Relais Internationalís first Australian customer. Since their implementation in 2005 Relais International has expanded their presence in the Australian market to include libraries such as CSIRO, Monash University, University of Adelaide and most recently the University of Newcastle.
Margarita Moreno, Assistant Director of Document Supply Service at the Library reported "Over the last 5 years Relais has enabled us to improve our efficiency in supplying material from the National Libraryís Collections; however, there is still scope for improvement. The next phase will see changes to the National Libraryís Copies Direct interface adding a shopping cart facility and credit card validation with corresponding improvements to Relais such as improving communication with clients. We look forward to these future developments."
Clare MacKeigan, COO of Relais International, says "We are very pleased to be continuing our relationship with the National Library of Australia. Their use of Relais and continued exploration of new ways to extend the use of the system in the library is indicative of the staffís innovative approach to document supply and resource sharing.
