Carlsbad, CA Ė November 20, 2009. EOS International announced that its Global Data Center has been enhanced to maintain cutting-edge Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions. The enhancement significantly upgrades the Data Centerís performance and EOS clientsí experience with their hosted EOS.Web solutions.
The EOS Global Data Center is now a completely SAN-based (Storage Area Network) solution as a result of the upgrade from a 2-tier architecture to a 3-tier architecture. The upgrade to the EOS Data Center has substantially increased EOSís storage capacity utilization and offers more flexibility to control EOS applications. Clients are able to access data faster than ever now, and the data is much more fault-tolerant with disaster recovery systems that are more thorough and less complex.
Even prior to the formal announcement about the upgrade of the EOS Data Center, one EOS.Web client noticed the improved performance of their EOS.Web solution right away. "Not sure what has changed, but for the last several weeks the serials check-in here at Unity Hospital has been very fast. Many thanks for whatever you folks have done," wrote Steven Buckley at Unity Hospital in Rochester, NY.
Jeff Goodwin, Vice President of Product Development at EOS International states, "With the recent changes to our Data Center, clients who host their solution with us can expect increased optimal performance from their EOS.Web product. The tools we have implemented are beneficial to the client, our staff, and the environment. Itís a win-win situation all-around."
