February 16, 2010. Relais International is pleased to announce that Olathe Public Library in Olathe, Kansas has selected Relais ILL. The first phase of implementation will be on Relais ILL V2009 and should be "live" by April of this year.
Once Relais releases V2010 later this year, Olathe will be the first library to implement circulation interoperability between Relais and the SirsiDynix Symphony ILS using NCIP. Olathe Public Library selected Relais ILL for its ease of use, to create a paperless workflow within the ILL department, and to allow for unmediated requesting.
Clare MacKeigan, COO of Relais International, says, "We are extremely pleased to welcome Olathe Public Library to our growing family of public library customers."
Olathe Public Library is composed of the main library and the Indian Creek Branch Library. Together, over 600,000 people visited the libraries in 2009, its centennial year, and checked out more than 1.3 million items.
