Witteman recently joined the company's project management and customer service team, which has grown significantly in 2009 and now 2010 to support the company's growing U.S. customer base. Witteman brings to Bibliotheca 20-plus years of experience with libraries and library technology product implementation, configuration, administration and use.

Witteman's background includes, most recently, more than a decade with ILS vendor SirsiDynix in Huntsville, Ala., where he served as senior technical adviser to library customers around the globe, with responsibilities for serving as first point of contact for customers with advanced customer support problems and questions regarding a range of that company's products. Witteman also served as an implementation consultant for Innovative Interfaces Inc. in Emeryville, Calif., where he worked as primary project implementation contact for dozens of library customers during his two-year stint with the company.
In addition to his vendor experience, Witteman worked for Rutgers University Libraries in New Brunswick, N.J., where he served as systems programmer and implementation manager for a range of technology products put into service at the university. Witteman also worked in a range of public and technical services roles in various academic, public and special libraries in California and Oregon.
Witteman's education includes multiple baccalaureate degrees in geography and history from the University of Oregon and a Master of Library and Information Studies degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
