Abstract: VTLS announced its newest ILS customer, Grand Canyon University. Located in Phoenix, Arizona, GCU is a private institution offering campus-based and online undergraduate and graduate degree programs for both traditional and non-traditional students.

Blacksburg, VA -- VTLS Inc. proudly announces its newest ILS customer, Grand Canyon University (GCU). Located in Phoenix, Arizona, GCU is a private institution offering campus-based and online undergraduate and graduate degree programs for both traditional and non-traditional students.

The Grand Canyon University Library has opted for a hosted Virtua ILS to replace its current Polaris system. Selecting a hosted solution creates efficiencies and enables innovation in the University's library, thereby benefiting both GCU's campus-based and online students who are able to access the library from anywhere, at any time.

"With a large number of e-resources and online usage, Grand Canyonís library is typical of the emerging library in the 21st century. Weíre very pleased to welcome Grand Canyon as a customer as they will give us valuable insights into the evolving needs of the online student," says Cecilia M. Yourshaw, VP of Operations for VTLS Inc.

Grand Canyon University has purchased a 4 UL, hosted Virtua system including: OPAC, Cataloging, Circulation and InfoStation. Grand Canyon continues to add to the rapidly growing base of customers hosted at VTLS Inc. The new system will be live by the end of this calendar year.

"Virtua was the only ILS we found on the market which saved us money without sacrificing quality. We liked its speed, flexibility, and innovation," says Dr. Charles Seymour, Graduate Reference Librarian, Grand Canyon University Library.
