Relais International is pleased to announce sponsorship of one annual Rethinking Resource Sharing Innovation Award for each of the next three years. The Rethinking Resource Sharing (RRS) Innovation Awards recognizes and honors an individual or institution for changes they made to improve usersí access to information through resource sharing in their library or consortium, locally, regionally or even internationally. It is hoped that the award will encourage libraries and librarians to make changes in how they do resource sharing to improve service to users. RRS looks for efforts where people didnít wait for the profession to provide better services for users.
Clare MacKeigan, COO of Relais International, says "we are extremely pleased to sponsor this award. It is important that we recognize leadership and innovation in the resource sharing library community." Relais International will sponsor one award each year for the next three years.
