May 4, 2009 ByWater Solutions, an open source community supporter and official Koha support company, gave a talk on Thursday in New Haven as an effort to drum up support in Connecticut for the open source ILS movement.

Brendan A. Gallagher, CEO of ByWater Solutions, stated, "This was an amazing opportunity for us to spread the word about Koha and open source in our own back yard. Because of our east coast office location in West Haven, CT. we are ideally placed to be a resource for the Connecticut libraries seeking for an alternative to proprietary ILS systems."

Christine Bradley, Executive Director of the Connecticut Library Consortium was thrilled with the presentation and said, "We are overjoyed to see a member of our own community become a major player in the open source movement." She continued to say, "I look forward to following the progress of Brendan as an individual and ByWater Solutions as a company. Their outlook on service and support is one that is much needed in the open source world."
