April 20, 2009. Relais International is pleased to announce that Grant MacEwan College Library has selected the Relais ILL Hosted Service. Grant MacEwan College has four campuses in Edmonton, Alberta. The college has about 3,300 students both on campus and taking part in distance learning and offers a wide variety of degree, diploma and certificate programs. MacEwan Library will be the fifth member of the NEOS Library Consortium in Alberta to use Relais.
The Hosted Service will include the Relais Access web-based pages that allow library patrons to create and monitor their own ILL requests. Staff will use a new and enhanced web-based staff interface to allow them to process ILL requests. The system includes the fully integrated Relais Scanning Module for seamless electronic delivery of items to patrons and to other libraries.
Clare MacKeigan, COO of Relais International, says "we are very pleased to welcome the staff of Grant MacEwan College Library to our network of customers in Alberta and the western provinces of Canada." We expect the implementation to be completed during the summer in time for the new school year in the fall.
