(Carlsbad, CA Ė June 30, 2008) EOS International announced the extended availability of the EOS Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) delivery platform to all web applications. The EOS SaaS offering will allow companies, including independent software vendors (ISVs), to outsource their web applications to the state-of-the-art Global Data Centers EOS owns and operates. The new platform is the latest extension of the EOS brand, and allows EOS to leverage the technology that already powers their library and knowledge management programs. The EOS SaaS solution allows companies in all industries to focus on their core competencies while outsourcing IT functions, such as disaster recovery, maintenance, and hardware upgrades, to EOS.
The expanded service culminates two years of EOSís expansion and upgrade of their data center facilities. Earlier in the year, EOS announced the availability of their latest data center in Europe, giving the company truly global coverage and redundancy for both client access and disaster recovery plans. EOS perfected their SaaS capabilities in the development and implementation of their EOS e-Library service which uses a SaaS delivery model for EOS.Web. Hundreds of EOS clients currently use the e-Library solution.
"The EOS SaaS offering expands the services EOS has to offer both current and future clients, as well as software companies in need of server space for their offerings," said Tony Saadat, CEO of EOS International. "The EOS SaaS program will allow our clients access to any variety of enterprise-wide software applications without any of the long-term costs associated with powering an in-house data center."
The SaaS platform provides access to software applications across an Internet connection, eliminating the need for hardware, maintenance, and operating costs associated with providing an enterprise-wide software program.
