June 2001 NELINET, a network of more than 660 libraries throughout New England, and TDNet, an international leader in electronic journal management services for libraries, announce a co-marketing agreement for New England. NELINET will provide marketing support and invoicing to its member libraries for TDNet Inc.
"We are excited to make available to our members the unique solution developed by TDNet for managing and accessing a library's individual e-journal collection" said NELINET Executive Director, Arnold Hirshon. "We are also pleased that TDNet will work with us on consortia solutions to e-journals management in the New England region."
TDNet provides a complete e-journal management service for a library's entire collection whether the titles are purchased through a subscription agent, directly from the publisher, through an aggregator, or by consortia agreement. The service allows management by title with access and searching at article level, SDI & email alerting capabilities, and a statistical package for usage evaluation. "TDNet's service has been positively received in the few short months we have been selling in the US," said TDNet Inc. President Michael Markwith. "We are excited that NELINET will partner with us to help get the information about TDNet's service to it's member libraries".
NELINET is non-profit membership cooperative of academic, public and special libraries in the six New England states (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont).
