Abstract: In a unanimous vote the 19 members of the Boston Library Consortium Board of Directors have chosen to continue participation in RapidILL.

In a unanimous vote the 19 members of the Boston Library Consortium Board of Directors have chosen to continue participation in RapidILL.

Reviewing the results of the BLC's year-long RapidILL pilot project, Barbara Preece, Executive Director of the Boston Library Consortium, said we "decided in February 07 to confirm Rapid as an integral part of the BLC's commitment to resource sharing." Preece continued by saying "Member libraries have been enthusiastic about the program."

Christine Quirion, Document Services Librarian at MIT Libraries, remarked, "Getting started with Rapid was the easiest change that we've had to make, and one from which we started to see benefits right away in terms of quick delivery of articles, and ease of use for staff. .... Our operations and patrons have benefited significantly from participation in Rapid; it would be a challenge to provide our services without Rapid."
