HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Feb. 16, 2007 – SirsiDynix, the global leader in strategic technology solutions for libraries, announced today that Chief Executive Officer Patrick Sommers is resigning from the company, effective immediately. The search for a new chief executive officer will begin immediately.
"Pat has done a marvelous job of leading and growing SirsiDynix," said Martin Taylor, operating principal of Vista Equity Partners, which acquired the company in January. "Under his tenure, SirsiDynix has become the world leader in the integrated library system market. Over the last few months, the Vista leadership team has enjoyed getting to know Pat. I know I speak for our entire team when I say that his passion for SirsiDynix customers and his dedication to SirsiDynix employees will be missed."
