Both the Lateran Pontifical University and the Augustinianum Patristic Institute libraries chose the AMICUS library management system with the AquaBrowser Library search solution from distributor, Prime Source.
Lateran Pontifical University Library was originally founded by Pope Pius IX, inheriting his priceless private library. The library includes collections from the German College, Gregory XIII's library, and the Monastery of Bonifacius-and-Alexis on the Aventine, later enriched by donations from cardinals and Lateran University professors. The library houses 600.000 volumes, 700 current journals, 414 out-of-print journals, manuscripts, CD-ROM and microfiche. The library is specialized in law (canon, ecclesiastical, roman, and civil), theology, philosophy and history.
Augustinianum Patristic Institute Library is specialized in early Greek, Latin and Oriental Christian literature, as well as studies on St. Augustine of Hippo and his Order. The Institute is the continuation of "Studium Generale Romanum" founded in XIV century in St. Augustino monastery, to which during the XVI century has been built on the famous Angelica Library.
