Emeryville, CA—The Company announced today that the East Lansing Public Library has selected the Millennium integrated library technology platform for maximum staff efficiency and their growing technology needs. The Library is replacing a Dynix Classic system provided by SirsiDynix, Inc.
"Our staff is not large, so it's not possible for us to settle for 'work-arounds' when using a library system," says Lauren Douglass, Digital Services Specialist/Systems Administrator. "We'll no longer have to involve five or six people in the holds process, book ordering will be streamlined about 80%, and we'll have a new level of administrative control over the system." The Library will also take advantage of increased system functionality, adding e-resource information into the online catalog in the coming months.
Says Library Director Sylvia Marabate: "Millennium is clearly the best system for who we are now, as well as what kind of library we want to be in the future. We know that Innovative can take us there."
