(Carlsbad, CA May 3, 2006) Market leader EOS International announces that the International Energy Agency, located in Paris, France, has chosen to upgrade to EOS.Web Express. An EOS International client since 1996, previously IEA had used the EOS GLAS legacy library automation solution.

The IEA library collection houses 13,000 items including books, periodicals, CD-ROMs, text documents in various formats including PDF, as well as video cassettes. "As an intergovernmental body committed to energy policy co-operation, IEA prefers Web-based applications to provide intergovernmental access to information," states Tyna Wynaendts, Head of IEA Energy Information Center.

Staff at the IEA Information Center are excited about the more efficient cataloging abilities of the EOS.Web MARC Editor. "We are looking forward to experiencing quicker title downloads and cataloging compared to the process previously used," states Wynaendts.

The EOS.Web MARC Editor provides MARC-labeled editing screens for importing, exporting, adding and maintaining bibliographic records, complete with the display of valid MARC codes, which significantly speeds-up cataloging of new records. Additionally, a rules validation feature provides extensive, automatic error-checking of data entered in the record, improving the reliability of data entered.

EOS.Web Express and EOS.Web Enterprise are available for use internationally in English, French, Italian, and Spanish editions.
