Medialab Solutions is always active in non-library markets and has expanded the presence of the AquaBrowser search solution across spheres with several new and old clients within the healthcare industry.

'DBCOnderhoud' (Diagnosis Treatment Combination Maintenance) is an organization deeply involved with private healthcare providers, hospitals, independent clinics, medical specialists, caregivers and patient organizations. The AquaBrowser Library implementation for DBCOnderhoud links all of these organizations together, providing users with a unique refine menu with direct links to spidered resources for searches of all ranges of medical criteria.

RIVM, the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment, holds the knowledge and expertise in the fields of health, nutrition and environmental protection are used primarily for advising the Dutch government. With resources in English, the AquaBrowser implementation for RIVM can spider through their database and PDF-documents. What is especially unique here is the ability to select multiple items from the Refine menu.

The third project is PSCE, Patient Classification Systems Europe. Started in 1996, the association has stimulated the use and refinement of the science of "grouping patients" within different levels of the health system. Their outfitted AquaBrowser search solution will also link many website portals together, creating a special 'one-stop' location for a range of resources pertaining to patient classification. PSCE, an existing customer will get an upgrade to the newest AquaBrowser version available.

"The cohesion between the healthcare industry's online resources and AquaBrowser search solution is amazing. Each association became an AquaBrowser customer with the same goal of efficiently and proactively becoming single-location portals to offer information from a wide range of resources. Yet, each association has completely different needs which AquaBrowser wholly fulfills. The diversity of these clients, especially in comparison with our main realm library industry, our main realm, shows the real flexibility of our software." -- Bas Zwaan, CEO Medialab Solutions.
