(Carlsbad, CA - January 18, 2006) Market leader EOS International announces that the French Institute of Tel Aviv, Israel, has selected EOS.Web Express using the globally available EOS e-Library Service as their library automation solution of choice. Based on Microsoft .NET technologies, EOS.Web is the fastest, most intuitive, Web-based library
information system available to special libraries today, which enables librarians and knowledge services staff to work from anywhere in the world.
The French Institute is a part of a network of libraries including the French Embassy in Israel. The French Institute selected EOS.Web in order to increase subscriber accessibility to their 12,000 item collection. EOS.Web automation technology and web-based accessibility will enable the library to provide users with Internet-enabled computers access to their public catalog no matter what their location is.
The primary users of the library are French residents of Israel and French-language students. With the increased accessibility EOS.Web provides, the Institute will also serve the French Embassy in Israel. The library is looking forward to being able to exchange information within their library network, as well as with other libraries in Israel.
EOS International will be delivering the French Institutes' solution directly from the EOS Global Data Center located in Carlsbad, California, which provides 24/7/365 library staff automation and public collection access on a global basis. The French Institute in Israel rigorously tested the EOS e-Library Service access speed prior to selecting the ASP-hosted solution over a local installation and appreciated the quick connection times and direct accessibility.
EOS CEO, Tony Saadat is excited about the continuing growth of EOS.Web internationally. "It is great news to have the French Institute joining our growing group of international EOS.Web users."
