Emeryville, CA—Innovative Interfaces announced today its plan to offer a new service that delivers electronic journal coverage data to support its market-leading digital solutions. As a complement to its Electronic Resource Management and WebBridge smart-linking tools, Innovative will now offer a fully integrated digital library solution that results in easier and faster implementation and eliminates the complexities of third party data integration and relationships. The addition of the new coverage data service positions Innovative as the best and most experienced provider of tools that bring the digital library alive.
The coverage data service will include a comprehensive set of title, date coverage, and e-journal link data. It will also offer a MARC record service to enhance catalog access. The service will be driven by a Web-based interface that allows the library to create and manage its holdings profile.
This new service is the next step in Innovative's digital library offerings. Innovative developed the first next-generation link resolver, WebBridge. WebBridge integrates with the Millennium library management system, suggests resources to online catalog searchers based on their queries, and links back from e-resources to the online catalog. Innovative was also first-to-market with both its initial and second releases of its Electronic Resource Management product.
"Innovative believes in the centrality of the library system by fully integrating products like Electronic Resource Management and WebBridge," says Senior Product Manager Ted Fons. "The company is now in a position to leverage its system architecture to offer a complete software and data solution. Millennium is an ideal platform for a comprehensive digital library because it keeps coverage content in its own database and runs link resolver and ERM technology from the same server."
For over 25 years, Innovative Interfaces has dedicated its energies to meeting the needs of libraries and the challenges of library automation. Core to this mission are trusted products such as the Millennium integrated library management platform, INN-Reach next-generation resource sharing, the Symposia digital repository, and Electronic Resource Management. Today, thousands of libraries of all types in over 40 countries rely on Innovative's products, services, and support. The company is located in Emeryville, California with offices around the world.
