(Carlsbad, CA – June 6, 2005) EOS International has named Salvatore Provenza Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing. Provenza, who joined the EOS International senior management team in 2002, has profitably increased worldwide revenue by over 65% and grown the number of ASP-hosted EOS e-Library Service library subscriptions by over 400%. Dedicated towards making EOS International the premier Application Service Provider (ASP) of world-class solutions for special libraries around the globe, Provenza is responsible for the formulation of EOS's long-term sales strategies and management of the company's emerging international business development.
“Sal has proven his ability to deliver solid operating results to the business of EOS. With this promotion I'm confident Sal will continue to align our solutions with client needs on a global basis and effectively lead our worldwide team,” states Tony Saadat, EOS International's CEO. “The combination of our new Web-based solutions and the capability of providing not only a traditional local network solution, but also an efficient and cost-effective ASP hosted delivery method, is an extremely powerful option for the library community.”
“Since EOS owns and operates its own Global Data Center, compared to leasing facilities from a 3rd party, we can pass those savings on directly to our client while maintaining complete control of data security, system performance, reliability, user accessibility, technology and future growth,” says Provenza.
Provenza has over 20 years of extensive sales and marketing management experience. In addition to his previous position at Microsoft as Regional Director of Operations for Africa, India and the Middle East, he has also held key senior management positions at AT&T Corporation, NCR Corporation, Galileo International and most recently, Vice President and General Manager for CAIS Internet's software subsidiary, CAIS Software Solutions. Provenza graduated with honors from Wright State University and completed his graduate program in International Management from the University of California, Berkeley.
