Emeryville, CA—Innovative Interfaces announced today that Gene Shimshock has been appointed Vice President of Marketing. In this new position, Shimshock will have strategic oversight of all activities that define and communicate Innovative's presence in the library marketplace.

Before coming to Innovative, Shimshock held a senior marketing position at Information Access Company, now part of the Gale Group. Shimshock has also held executive product marketing and management positions at Knight-Ridder Financial Information and Netcom. Shimshock holds a Master's Degree in Financial Management from Fairfield University.
