The Ex Libris Group is pleased to announce the release of the ALEPH 500™ Reporting Center (ARC). A user-friendly, Web-based, reporting, querying and statistical generation environment based on information contained within the ALEPH system, the ARC plug-in module package provides library staff with ad-hoc reports and statistics regarding virtually any aspect of the library.
“We have been extremely pleased with our customers' excited response to ARC,” states Matti Shem Tov, President and CEO of Ex Libris. “ARC was developed to meet customer needs for a tool to provide library directors and staff with the information they require to make fact- based decisions regarding library workflows for the present and future.“
Operational data within the Reporting Center is collected and presented to users in a logical, easy-to-use structure that enables cross-referencing from multiple areas within the system, providing all branches of the organization with a single view of system data. Intuitive and easy manipulation of the operational data allows the generation of the exact reports and statistics needed to make library procedures more efficient.
ARC comes complete with a selection of standard pre-defined reports and statistics that can be easily customized, using a desktop Web client, and saved for future library use. An intuitive set of tools provides staff with the necessary environment to create and generate library-specific reports and statistics. Staff members creating these ad-hoc reports need not have knowledge of the ALEPH 500 database table structure nor of SQL programming. All saved reports can be shared across the library, consortium, or other institutions running ALEPH 500.
