DES PLAINES, ILLINOIS, Jun. 26, 2004:Endeavor Information Systems and the Keystone Library Network of Pennsylvania (KLN) announced today the successful implementation of the ENCompass for Resource Access system for providing instant access to e-resources and expanded search capabilities and the LinkFinderPlus comprehensive linking system for the benefit of library users. The KLN implementation includes new strategies for the successful consortium implementation of Endeavor's federated search system and OpenURL-enabled link resolver.
Currently using ENCompass and LinkFinderPlus in their libraries are Cheyney University, Bloomsburg University, Indiana University, Kutztown University, Millersville University, Shippensburg University, Slippery Rock University and West Chester University. Combined, ENCompass for Resource Access and LinkFinderPlus provide federated searching of resources and full-text links to that information.
“With the successful implementation of ENCompass for Resource Access and LinkFinderPlus, these Keystone Library Network members are increasing the availability of their valuable e-resources to end-users with the broad-level access to information,” said Donald J. Muccino, Endeavor Chief Operating Officer and Vice-President of Customer Services. “Additionally, the libraries will be able to better realize the value of their e-journal subscriptions because of the increase in availability of these items to end-users.”
