Abstract: Endeavor Information Systems announced that Arkansas State University-Newport, Southwestern University, and University of St. Mary of the Lake three each recently selected the Voyager integrated library management system for advanced library automation.

DES PLAINES, ILLINOIS, Mar 30, 2004: Endeavor Information Systems announced today three academic libraries recently selected the Voyager integrated library management system for advanced library automation.

The following libraries are currently migrating from their previous systems to Endeavor's Voyager ILS:

  • Arkansas State University-Newport, Newport, AR migrates to Voyager from a Dynix system. The ASU-N Library serves traditional and continuing education students with over 8,000 items supporting the University's educational programs including aviation, nursing and commercial driver studies.
  • Southwestern University, Georgetown, TX chose Voyager to replace a Dynix system. Southwestern University is noted as the first institution of higher learning in Texas, chartered in 1840 in the Republic of Texas. The A. Frank Smith Library Center serves nearly 1400 users with more than 250,000 volumes. More than 15 special collections include a large Texana grouping of papers from the incorporation of the Republic of Texas through the U.S. Reconstruction period.
  • University of Saint Mary of the Lake and Mundelein Seminary, Mundelein, IL selected Voyager to replace an OCLC system. With over 200,000 items, the Feehan Memorial Library is noted as a leader in the United States for studies of patristics and church history. The library services and collections reinforce the University's mission as the major seminary and school of theology of the Archdiocese of Chicago, as well as the University's continuing education programs.

“With a proven track record for intelligently designed software systems, excellent data migration, measured implementation plans and solid customer support, libraries can be confident in systems and services delivered with an Endeavor relationship. We are proud to deliver a complete software package and accessible and comprehensive services offerings for academic libraries of all sizes and disciplines,” said Roland Dietz, Endeavor President and CEO.
