Overland Park, KS, January 9, 2004 - Library software specialists Fretwell-Downing Inc. today at ALA unveiled a complete new-look for their web-based resource sharing solution, VDX.
In response to emerging web design trends, Fretwell-Downing is launching a complete refresh of the interface for its VDX web product. VDX customers have the flexibility to manage all resource sharing functions through a web interface and the new, modern design will continue to keep the product in step with trends in the wider IT market.
The functional superiority of VDX is fully maintained while the new look will provide VDX customers with improved ease of use.

The new-look for VDX's web interface is the latest in a series of product enhancements announced by Fretwell-Downing. Other new developments for FD's resource sharing solution include a new brokering system that automatically processes and routes incoming requests based on holdings and availability, improved copyright handling and integration with Infotrieve's JEDDS software that enables seamless electronic document supply, via the Ariel system. These latest developments will respond to the developing requirements of our customers and will keep VDX ahead in the resource sharing marketplace.”
