Woburn, MA - Inmagic, Inc., a global provider of content and information management software and services, announces the release of Inmagic® Content Server, which combines the advantages of a robust and flexible database management environment with high speed search and categorization, making finding relevant information fast, easy and precise.

Inmagic Content Server allows the business user to create content as well as integrate existing content from internal and external sources, deploy that content to Web pages on intranets, extranets and the Internet, and organize and manage information flow so the databases they create drive the content for end-users to access.

A logical extension of the Inmagic core technology that has been developed over 20 years of working closely with information professionals from around the world, Inmagic Content Server is built on Microsoft SQL Server. By taking advantage of the unparalleled scalability and reliability of this platform, Inmagic is able to provide a breadth of content management solutions, from the single department or workgroup to global deployment of an enterprise-wide system.

A multinational pharmaceutical firm and one of the 50 largest law firms in the U.S. are the first organizations to purchase and install Content Server. Both have been longtime customers of Inmagic using the company's DB/Text product line. Inmagic Content Server provides high compatibility with DB/TextWorks, making it straight-forward for current Inmagic customers to migrate to Content Server in order to be able to take advantage of the scalability, stability and extensibility of this new product offering.

“Inmagic's products make it possible for organizations to deliver highly relevant and timely content to individual business users 24/7,” said Phil Green, president and CEO of Inmagic, Inc. “Now, with Inmagic Content Server, organizations can enjoy our outstanding content management solutions in a far more scalable environment on a platform that is known and embraced by IT departments.

“This allows organizations to fully leverage the value of their information. We are currently working with a number of current customers who wish to expand the intranet-based knowledgebases they have created to broader audiences within their organizations. Content Server is the ideal solution for these customers.”
