Miami-Dade County Law Library purchases BiblioTech PRO
Miami-Dade County Law Library has almost 80,000 volumes and includes statutes for all 50 states, the complete National Reporter System, Practicing Law Institute's Corporate and Commercial course handbooks, and treatises covering subjects ranging from banking to zoning. The library's special practice areas include: aviation, automobiles, maritime/admiralty, intellectual property, real estate tax, family law, immigration, municipal government, international law, and a growing Latin American collection.
When Robert Riger, Executive Director of the library, wanted to make his organization's resources more accessible by going online, he evaluated a number of integrated library systems before selecting BiblioTech PRO.
“BiblioTech PRO's flexibility will allow us to be very creative in deciding what services to offer going forward,” said Mr. Riger. “It will allow us to offer more value-added services that will lead to increased revenues.”
“BiblioTech PRO has the flexibility to do almost anything. We can track membership by category. We can attach a map so people can find where a book is located. We can track who isn't subscribing and why they are not. It's a great marketing tool and the fact that you can customize the interface means you can even do some branding.”
