A Second ALEPH Installation for Beijing Normal University (Sixth in China)

Abstract: Ex Libris announced that the Beijing Normal University Zhuhai campus has signed an agreement for the licensing of the ALEPH 500 integrated library system. This agreement follows the implementation of the system at the main campus of Beijing Normal University, in Beijing—the first ALEPH 500 customer in China.


Ex Libris is pleased to announce that the Beijing Normal University Zhuhai campus has signed an agreement for the licensing of the ALEPH 500 integrated library system. This agreement follows the implementation of the system at the main campus of Beijing Normal University, in Beijing—the first ALEPH 500 customer in China.

Beijing Normal University, Zhuhai, situated in the city proper of Zhuhai, Guangdong province, is jointly funded by Beijing Normal University and Zhuhai People`s government. The only branch campus directly affiliated with the university`s main campus in Beijing, the Zhuhai branch aims to reach a student body of about 35,000 in the next three to five years.

The main university library in Beijing will handle the implementation of the ALEPH 500 project at Beijing Normal University, Zhuhai. The system is scheduled to go live by the end of this year, initially with 20 staff and 55 patron licenses.
