HUNTSVILLE, Alabama - August 15, 2003 - Sirsi Corporation, the leader in new-name sales of technology for libraries around the world*, announced today that Marty Keeley, a veteran of technology and book distribution companies serving the library community, has joined the company as vice president of strategic initiatives. Reporting to Sirsi CEO Patrick C. Sommers, Keeley will leverage his extensive experience and relationships to ensure that Sirsi products and services best meet the needs of library directors, library staff members, and library users. Working closely with other members of the Sirsi management team, Keeley will direct the successful planning and execution of initiatives that advance Sirsi's strategic vision.

Keeley's 10-plus years in the library industry include, most recently, three years as vice president of marketing and sales for Gaylord Information Systems; one year as chief operating officer of LibraryCentral.com; two years with Ingram Book Group in various executive-level roles, including his final assignment as president and CEO of Ingram Library Services; three-plus years at Baker & Taylor in various executive-level roles, with his final assignment as senior vice president of sales and marketing. From 1973-1993, Keeley served as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, with his final tour on active duty at the Pentagon Operations Directorate as a member of Gen. Colin Powell's staff.
