Woburn, MA - Inmagic, Inc., President and CEO Phillip Green announces the appointment of Lourdes Engel as Vice President of Engineering. Ms. Engel will be responsible for guiding the development team as it expands the company's new content management product, Inmagic® Content Server, as well as the rest of Inmagic's family of information management products. She will also be responsible for product support.
"We are very pleased to have Lourdes join the Inmagic team," said Mr. Green. "Her hiring brings Inmagic two key benefits: First, Lourdes brings a wealth of experience in managing complex development projects. With Inmagic's push to add Web services and interactive XML capabilities to our products, her experience will be extremely valuable.
"Secondly, Karen Brothers, an Inmagic founder and our former Vice President of Engineering, will become a member of the development team. By Karen handing over the management responsibilities to Lourdes, we can get the full benefit of Karen's expertise in text management, indexing, searching and application-building."
"Inmagic's rich product history and dynamic content management technology makes it a compelling opportunity," said Ms. Engel. "I look forward to working with the development team to deliver the kind of cutting edge products that have helped Inmagic grow and prosper over two decades."
Ms. Engel comes to Inmagic from ChannelWave Software, where she served as Vice President of Engineering. Prior to that, she was Director of Engineering at Sensormatic Electronics Corporation. She has also held engineering positions at Motorola, Modcomp and Gould Computer Systems.
Ms. Engel holds an MS in Computer Engineering from Florida Atlantic University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Miami.
