DES PLAINES, ILLINOIS, USA Aug. 4, 2003: Endeavor Information Systems announced today the availability of the LinkFinderPlus OpenURL-enabled link resolver via a hosted Subscription Service. Unveiled at the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) Annual Conference in Berlin, Germany, the LinkFinderPlus Subscription Service affords academic and research libraries of all sizes the ability to quickly, easily and inexpensively provide OpenURL-enabled linking without the need for any technical knowledge or maintenance.
Available through Elsevier or Endeavor, the LinkFinderPlus Subscription Service is an advanced linking system that bridges the gap between citations and the online full-text of articles, providing maximum usage of the library's electronic journal subscriptions.

"The LinkFinderPlus Subscription Service automatically finds full-text of articles for the user within one or two mouse clicks, removing the need for navigation among and within a multitude of electronic resources, and eliminating the often a challenging and time-consuming task of locating an article."
"Acquisition of an OpenURL-compliant linking product is often the first step a library takes in building its digital library infrastructure," said Roland Dietz, Endeavor President and CEO. "Endeavor and Elsevier provide this solution that is accessible both technically and financially. The XSL-based user interface will match local languages and practices, so the LinkFinderPlus Subscription Service will assist academic research libraries around the world to provide better utilization of their electronic resources and improve user satisfaction."
