DES PLAINES, ILLINOIS, April 25, 2003: Endeavor Information Systems today named Don Muccino as Vice-President of Customer Services. Muccino brings a wealth of library industry knowledge and top-level management skills to Endeavor and is well-known in the library industry from 27 years of progressive experience at OCLC, most recently as Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of the globally recognized library database, research and services vendor. While at OCLC, Muccino demonstrated a strong commitment to present and future customer needs, established the organization's first formal mergers and acquisitions program and was a key leader in international expansions.
Muccino's appointment rounds out Endeavor's strong and diverse executive management team, which acts on Endeavor's global business strategy and the future growth of the company. This addition emphasizes the company's commitment to libraries and creates additional value for current Endeavor customers around the globe.
At Endeavor, Muccino will oversee Endeavor's Customer Support, Implementation, Product Release and Integration, and Customer Relations Departments. Muccino will advise all of these departments on best practices in customer service and lead the division to continued success. Already well-received by over 1,100 libraries around the globe, Endeavor's Customer Services Division is known for on-time and under budget implementations, responsive and focused customer support, and smooth and well-executed upgrades for all Endeavor's library software systems.
Muccino's experience in customer services comes from nearly three decades of customer-focused work at OCLC. He served there in several advancing positions with beginnings in the systems and support groups and later moving up in the organization to leadership positions such as Vice-President of New Systems Implementation, Vice-President of Research and Development and Vice-President of Information Services. Muccino's focus at OCLC on the needs of all libraries around the globe and new solutions for emerging issues are key traits that he carries to his Endeavor role.
