Abstract: Sirsi Corporatio announced that the Richmond Public Library has chosen the Sirsi Unicorn Library Management System for managing its operations and the iBistro Electronic Library for serving its user community.

Huntsville, Alabama — 02/03/2003 — Sirsi Corporation, the leader in new-name sales of technology for libraries around the world*, announced today that the Richmond Public Library has chosen the Sirsi Unicorn® Library Management System for managing its operations and the iBistro Electronic Library for serving its user community. The library will be operating the system on an IBM AIX series with Oracle. "Sirsi provides the products and functionality that affects the end-user profoundly," said Robert Rieffel, director and city librarian. "The system meets the criteria of what today's users need to enjoy the full library experience, whether on-line or at the library.
