| Other Information | The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit sealed proposals to establish a contract through competitive negotiation for the purchase of an upgrade or new installation of an automated integrated library system (ILS) and services for use by the Jefferson Madison Regional Library (JMRL). JMRL currently uses the Millennium Integrated Library System (ILS) from Innovative Interfaces, Inc. JMRL has eight branches and a bookmobile, serving the City of Charlottesville, and the counties of Albemarle, Nelson, Greene, and Louisa in Central Virginia. The total population of the area is 209,773 residents. JMRL has over 108,000 registered users, and circulates over 1.5 million items annually. Over 100 staff users will need access to various portions of this ILS. As support for Millennium is potentially being phased out, JMRL is seeking solutions to upgrade or replace our current ILS. JMRL’s current Integrated Library System has 194,787 bibliographic records, 70,387 order records, 1,203 checkin/serials records, 511,633 item records, 108,964 patron records, and 3,106 invoice records. |
