Côte Saint-Luc Public Library chooses A-G Canada for authority control of its bibliographic database

In preparation for implementing an integrated library system, Côte Saint-Luc (Quebec) Public Library has chosen A-G Canada as the vendor to provide authority control of its bibliographic database. Approximately 120,000 bibliographic records will be validated against the name authority files of the National Library of Canada and the Library of Congress and against the Library of Congress subject authority file, the Canadian subject heading list and the Répertoire de vedettes-matière (RVM). In addition, A-G Canada will produce smart barcode labels for Cote St. Luc Public.

Serving a population of 30,000 in both English and French, the Côte Saint-Luc Public Library circulates close to 500,000 items per year. Open 365 days a year, the library provides 10:00 am to 10:00 pm service.
