Emeryville, CA—Innovative Interfaces, a leading supplier of Web-based library automation systems, announced that the Missouri River Regional Library (MRRL) in Jefferson City, Missouri, has chosen to install Millennium, which will replace its existing DRA Classic system.

"MRRL staff chose the Millennium software because of the stability of the UNIX platform, the attractive user interface, and Innovative's solid position in the field," said Margaret Conroy, Director at Missouri River Regional Library. "Staff also liked the functionality of the OPAC and the direction the company was taking in adopting new technologies. We are sure our patrons will benefit from the library's migration from DRA Classic to Millennium."

MRRL serves the 84,459 residents of Cole and Osage Counties in central Missouri and houses approximately 211,000 volumes. The main library, located in the state capital of Jefferson City, sits on the site of Maple Terrace, home of Robert Wells and designer of the Missouri State Seal. There is also a smaller branch library in Linn, Missouri, which serves the residents of Osage County.

MRRL is a member of MLNC, the Missouri Library Network Corporation. This year, Jefferson City celebrates 100 years of publicly funded library service, marking the anniversary of the main library's opening in 1902.
