Emeryville, CA—Innovative Interfaces, a leading supplier of Web-based library automation systems, announced that the University of Granada in Granada, Spain has chosen the Millennium integrated library system.
Francisco Herranz Navarra, Library Director at the University of Granada, said, "Our criteria in selecting Millennium were its flexibility for the particular needs of our library, its functional and technical development, the number of installations at university libraries, and the fact that it was selected by the Andalucian consortium."

The University of Granada was founded in 1531, under the initiative of the Emperor Carlos V, by means of a Papal Bull from Pope Clemente VII. The University Library serves over 60,000 students, 3,200 professors, and 1,689 administrative and service employees. The library’s collection, housed in 29 locations, contains more than 830,000 volumes, of which 40,000 are old and rare, as well as 17,000 serials titles.
