August 27, 2001— Innovative Interfaces, a leader in information technology for libraries, announced that the University of Burgos in Burgos, Spain has chosen the Millennium integrated library system to replace its existing LIBERTAS system which was installed in 1996.

Fernando Martín, Library Director at the university, said, "The decision to choose Millennium was based on the flexibility of each of the system’s modules, which will allow the library to adapt its information services to the particular needs of its users. We believe that the reliability of the new system is amply demonstrated by the high number of installations that are already in Spain, as well as by the professionalism and experience of the Innovative people in the Madrid office, with whom we’ve been working since 1996."

He continued, "The University of Burgos has opted for the system used by the university libraries of Castilla and Leon, which will facilitate, in the near future, the beginning of joint projects, and will lay the foundation for the Consortium of University Libraries of Castilla and Leon."
