The London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames installed a standalone system in September 2000. inVisage is being used to handle their collection of contemporary photographs of the area, taken by the local public.
Talis installed the system, setting up the underlying database and data entry forms within a morning. Richmond are currently adding metadata using inVisage, and plan to take training from Talis Information Ltd by the end of the year.
Kate Davenport and Jane Baxter will be discussing their use of and reasons for buying inVisage at the Talis Forum on November 30th.
ibase Image Systems supplied the initial order for digitisation of 800 photographs – Richmond plan to expand their digital asset resource as part of an ongoing programme.
