TLC Total Library Computerization now available for Windows

ON POINT, INC. today released the first Windows version of its economically priced software for smaller library management. This fully integrated modular system is designed to meet the specific needs and budgetary limitations of small to mid-size libraries.

The Windows version of TLC is a library application of Claris Corporation's award winning FileMaker Pro database software. TLC for Windows is cross platform which means that the same files can be shared by PCs and Macintosh computers.

TLC covers all traditional library operations plus a multitude of others (e.g., financial accounting, budget preparation, and statistical record keeping). New features offer librarians unlimited flexibility in how to search databases, how to sort retrieved records, and how to display or print the resulting report. TLC requires no training yet is so easy to operate that users can quickly identify and locate items without any assistance. Its modules for cataloging, circulation, interlibrary loan, acquisitions, serials control, and retrieval of internal work product may also be purchased separately. TLC's MARC interface is an additional option for those who purchase standard bibliographic records.

TLC is intended for a wide range of small libraries including corporations, law firms, government agencies, courts, hospitals, schools, trade associations, consulting firms — any organization or office with a collection of print and/or non-print materials too large for each item to be located easily. It is appropriate also for larger collections serving broader user groups since end users access the system via simple- customized mintmenus.
