Data Research signs strategic partnership agreement with Tacoma Public Library

ST. LOUIS, January 22, 1993 - Data Research Associates, Inc. (NASDAQ: DRAI) today announced that it had signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Tacoma Public Library (TPL) for the design and development of client/server workstation enhancements to the Data Research software package.

The Tacoma Public Library, located in Tacoma, Washington, has previously developed two widely acclaimed software packages, Uniface and Alice-B, which were subsequently marketed and sold to the library marketplace. TPL and Data Research expect development of a circulation workstation to be the first joint project of the partnership.

Data Research, headquartered in St. Louis, is a leading provider of library automation systems, networking services and other related services for libraries. Data Research currently has a customer base of more than 225 systems representing over 900 individual libraries worldwide.
