March 4, 1998. In a move to increase community access, expand use of the Web, and the statewide network ACLIN, Loveland Public Library has chosen Innovative Interfaces' INNOPAC Millennium to replace its ARLIS system.

"We wanted to bring our and we wanted to be in the thick of the Colorado library community—Innovative has a very strong presence here. Our staff was looking for speed and consistency in a reliable, user-friendly system. They chose INNOPAC as the system with the most intuitive functionality," says Marcia Lewis, Assistant Director of Loveland Public Library.

"Also, when we visited and telephoned several of Innovative sites, we heard great things from librarians using the system."

Though it has only been in its current location since 1987, the Loveland Public Library was established in 1903. As a single-site library, it serves the Loveland community, population 47,000, with holdings of 120,000 items. Migrating to INNOPAC Millennium will allow them to connect to ACLIN, the statewide library network. "Besides the advantages of a more convenient link, this will also be the first time other libraries in the state will have access to our collection and, because of that, we'll really be able to make a bigger contribution to the library community," Lewis adds.
