(Carlsbad, CA - September 23, 1996)- This past summer, the newly combined company of Data Trek, Inc. and IME, Ltd., announced that it has changed its name to Electronic Online Systems (EOS) International.
Having acquired IME in early 1996, Data Trek was able to combine the market power of the worldwide coverage of IME with its own extensive customer base, creating a truly global library automation and services company. The new company name of Electronic Online Systems International reflects this new union and identity. As a single, combined entity, EOS International now offers an unrivaled range of products and services to better meet the needs of libraries worldwide. EOS International currently serves over 6,500 clients in 85 countries, in all types of libraries.

In addition to its corporate headquarters located in Carlsbad, California, EOS International has a European headquarters in London and an Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore. The Data Trek UK office in Colchester, England, has relocated to the EOS International London office. In addition, the IME Boston office and the Data Trek Paris office have become EOS International Regional offices. EOS International supports 40 other offices and affiliates worldwide.
Data Trek CEO, Scot Cheatham, is now CEO of EOS International, while former IME CEO, Kate Noerr has become EOS International's new Strategic Planning Director. Mark Patterson, Data Trek Vice President of Sales and Marketing, has become the Managing Director of the European headquarters office in addition to overseeing Marketing from a global perspective.
EOS International is the Electronic Information and Technical Services Division of Dawson Holdings, PLC, a billion dollar information services company founded in 1809.
