Huntsville, Alabama - Sirsi Corporation is pleased to announce that its Scientific and Technical Information Library Automation System (STILAS) is installed at the U.S. Department of the Interior. The system was purchased through GSA Contract GSOOK-94AGS-9696.

STILAS is installed on an IBM RISC System/6000 Model 360 host computer. In addition to the bibliographic and inventory control module, the library has licensed the acquisitions module, authority control module, circulation module, enhanced public access module, enhanced researchers access, multiuser gateway, and serials control module.

Located in Washington, D.C., the U.S. Department of the Interior Library houses a collection of over 1.6 million volumes. The collection covers topics such as environmental issues, natural resources, conservation, endangered species, Native Americans, public lands, and law. The library is open to Department of the Interior employees and the public.
