Huntsville, Alabama - Sirsi Corporation is pleased to announce that it's Unicorn Collection Management system is installed at the Stillwater Public Library and the Alexandrian Public Library.
Unicorn is installed on an IBM RISC System/6000 Model 340 host computer at the Stillwater Public Library in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Unicorn will be made fully operational after the library moves to a new 60,400 square foot building in the spring of 1994. The library will also access the Oklahoma State University catalog using Sirsi's Intelligent Interface to NOTIS, which searches the NOTIS catalog using Sirsi search screens and commands. The Stillwater Public Library serves a university community of 36,500 and houses a collection of approximately 80,000 volumes. Unicorn, installed on an IBM RISC System/6000 Model 340 host computer, replaced an existing GEAC system at the Alexandrian Public Library. Located in Mt. Vernon, Indiana, the Alexandrian Public Library serves 21,000 people in the townships of Black, Marrs, Robinson, Lynn, and Point.
